Problem setting up HD: Digitest fails flex cable test

5.3 says it either cannot find the first 192 interface, or it says my hardware is not set up correctly. Digitest states for each of my 5 cards (this was the specific message for the 1st one, but they are all kind of the same):

TDM-II Flex Cable Test (Bus A) DSP I: Failed (Bus A Xmt-Rcv) @ address 0, expected 11EE11, actual 0

TDM-II Flex Cable Test (Bus B) DSP I: Clock Failure: Probably Mis-orientation of TDM Flex Cable(s).

I have reseated all the cards in my chassis, reseated the flex cables (no noticeable damage to them), reseated all my interface cables, swapped out different digilink cables, and reseated the BNC connectors.

The flex cables are aligned and plugged in correctly-- I have followed the manual to a T. I have 4 192s. I have tried it with all 4 or just 2, and I get the same result. I have trashed all my prefs too.

Lesson learned: I had the flex cable ports reversed on the cards. The flex cable connects to the core card on port B, and even though it says so in the diagram ,the diagram is actually reversed for the Digi 7 slot expansion chassis... which confused me.

So there you have it... in case anyone else tries to set up a system on 4 hours of sleep....
