Java / TuxGuitar on my Tools PC.
Hello, so i am running Pro Tools 8 on my laptop.
Digi 003 interface. Am wanting to download the Tux Guitar Tab program, which needs Java to run. Does anyone know if this will cause trouble with Pro Tools running on the same pc. Just thought i woudl ask before i install and maybe run into a heap of trouble. My thinking with PTools is the less programs on the pc the better. Windows pc. thanks. |

Re: Java / TuxGuitar on my Tools PC.
I'd first purchase and install Acronis True Image 2012, then make an image of your system drive. Once that's done, try the programs you want and Pro Tools. If they don't play nice together, restore the image and it will be like those programs you tried were never installed.
Then, since you have Acronis, make regular back-ups/images and images before any update/upgrade/install/uninstall. It will be some of the best money you've ever spent on software because it will, over time, save you a boatload of grief. Cheers,
