Unhappy m-powered8 no good with mac os 10.6.1

Just got the Mac Pro Book 17" notebook with Snow Leopard OS. Tried to load Pro Tools M Powered 8 which would not load. Does anyone know the real story as to if this software is compatible with MAC's new OS, or what can I do to make it work? If not, when will Pro Tools have an upgrade for M Powered 8 software? This sucks. Thanks.

There are a few quirks, but I haven't experienced it not running at all, what version of PT 8 are you running and what exactly is happening when you start it up?
