Default microphones

i'm getting a perception 100 versuses a audio technica at 2020 or an mxl v 63 i just wanted to know if some one could recommend me one of these or some thimg better a a reasonable price , well my budget is like 100 dollars.And also is a shock mount nesscessary.

Never used the AKG but the AT2020 sounds very nice thru a UA610 pre. Shockmount is highly recommended but the mic fits in several(I use the MXL shockmount.
