Exclamation 002R drivers don't work for 9.0.3?

This thread started over on the PT9 OSX forum, but someone suggested I try over here because of my lowly 002R.

I could really use some help.

I was having some problems getting MIDI to work on my 002R - I'm not the first, I know... In trying to solve the problem, I upgraded to 10.6.7 and PT 9.0.3. And I didn't save a disk image of my working config. Duh.

The 002R MIDI problem never got solved (do they just put the MIDI jacks on and not wire them up?), I dug up an old Midisport and that worked fine. Then, however, PT wouldn't recognize my 002R. It shows up in AMS fine.

So, I did all the usual things, trashed prefs, etc. etc. And, of course, reinstalled the PT9 002R drivers, and now PT won't even open. And when I look on the driver updates page, the 002R drivers are qualified to... 9.0.2.

Anyway, here's the error message:

Default Re: 002R drivers don't work for 9.0.3?

OK, solved, thanks to this post, although it's good to mention that, once you've re-selected the 002 as the playback device, you need to go back to the input/output tabs and select the defaults to repopulate the grid with the ins and outs of the 002/R. I guess this is the result of not having the drivers built-in like in LE, but it never happened with 9.0.2, even when switching around using the 002R for iTunes playback.

Are the existing 002 drivers actually compatible with 9.0.3?
