AVID Support is Rubbish

So I buy the Eleven rack expansion pack for my Mac. It doesn't recognise the serial number and says contact Avid. I am told that I have to activate the upgrade through a Windows machine. There is no explanation as to how to do this and as it happens I don't have a Windows machine. I am then told to find a friend with a Windows machine - really !!!

So I give up - does anyone know how to activate the elven upgrade on a mac or can they recommend alternative recordings products for Mac.

O BTW this has taken over 3 weeks and still isn't resolved
