Avid - number of activations new?

Just doing some Ilok maintenance and noticed many of my Avid plugins now have "1 of 3" activations available, is this a new policy following other manufacturers that do this? I've bought doubles of many plugs over the years which if this is not some error could move on now if it's not going to go away. Anyone confirm?

Guess we'll need another copy of Pro Tools to run our 2nd set of Plug-Ins ....

That's a tough one, you're basically asking for another copy of your PT license and I guess they cannot do that. But what they COULD do is allow moving that PT license to hard drive instead of iLok, let's vote for that

ilok or Drive or both would be great so we can choose ourselves.

Actually how about the Waves deal where it's either machine, memory module (I use an old memory card from my dslr) or the cloud? Only one at a time as near as I can figure.

Exactly what I suggested; one iLok activation that could be either machine auth or license key or deactivate a.k.a. put back to iLok account (cloud).
