Default DAE error -9131 on opening session. Help wanted.

Dear Duc's

I encountered some strange randomish DAE error on opening files. I do nothing other than I do normally. Only thing is the temperature in my room which is like 10 degrees hotter than normal.
I'm using PT 6.4, Mac OS 10.3.5, 2 External LaCie firewire 400 drive both plugged into my G4 DP 1 Ghz Quicksilver 2002 separately, Digi 001.

I backuped files to a second firewire 400 drive last night. I opened a session from the backup drive and noticed the error.
Checked the original, got the error, while it wasn't there hours before.
I opened a older session version on the original drive. It opened fine. I opened the original again and it worked. I changed something and saved it. It opens without the error. So that's good.
But
The backup I replaced with the now working original but it gets the error. There is another session that doesn't open on the backup drive. The drive was newly formatted and is not partitioned. Neither is the originals drive.

By the way; when I make a new session on the backup drive and try to import session data, I get the same error.
When I try to relink and rerender fades in a session on the backup drive also get the error.

What could be the problem here?

Regards,
Sookie

Are you only getting the error with files on the external drive?

Was the drive formatted with the OSX disk utility?

Most of the time, this error is caused by an improperly formatted drive. You may want to try reformatting it.

Other things that can cause this:

1. Corrupted audio or session files
2. Large firewire drives (partitioning them usually fixes it)
3. Using FW800 drives
4. On G5's sometimes one port (front or back) may work better
5. Using a drive formatted UFS (Unix)

Thanks for the reply.
I use an originals external FW 400 and a FW 400 backup drive. Both formatted with Apple Disk Utillity.
I decided to reformat and partition the backup drive. Made the backup again. Now there are no problems.
