Default 7.3, now purring like a cat, a few guidelines

I encountered a few problems with the PT 7.3 upgrade.. after doing the following it has been up for a 2 weeks and ZERO crashes and NO graphic freezes...

1: I uninstalled protools 7.xx
2: deleted all preferences - digisetup - protools.plis etc.
3: trashed all digidesign databases on all hard drives
4: trashed the contents of the folder Volumes on :/Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Databases/Volumes
5: Installed Protools 7.3
6: restarted - then installed the new version of all plugs (MDW 2.0.1 VERY IMPORTANT) - repaired disk permissions
7: restart holding alt+apple+p+r till it chimes 3 times
8: Launched Protools and set the preferences accordingly
9: NJOY

To all those who probably already did all this - I know what I am writing here aint getting me any NOBEL prize but it may well rid someone like me of initial problems

I just installed 7.3 over 7.2 and no problems so far.

I didn't know we need MDW 2.0.1. Where did you find that info? Anyway, thanks.

Thank-you for posting this helpful reminder. I am wondering if anyone knows of a current list of plug-ins that need to be updated when using 7.3 (aside from MDW 2). Thank you.

JFK.

Go to digidesign's site and navigate to protools hd... There choose "Compatible Plugs" choose MDW and then download... That is where I found it.

Does this mean that the previous version of MDW 1.x does not work with 7.3?
