Default Mixdowns from AVID MC with weird channel meta-data

Hi all,

I've been getting AVID mixdowns lately with weird meta-data. I wondered if someone knows why.

I often get DX guide renders that contain 2 physical tracks but contain a A1/A2/A2/A4 channel-layout meta-data info so when you drag them into PT it will give you a quad-clip with just audio content on two of the legs. Sometimes I even get 2-channel BWAVs with an A1/A2/A3/A4/A5/A6/A7/A8 channel layout. Very strange.

This only happens via drag and drop. If you import via import file it will be imported as a 2-channel stereo clip.

Is there a setting in MC to avoid this? Files come from MCv18.5.0

Seems kinda new. Never seen this before.

Thanks

Frank.
