Default advice on buying a D-Command

Hi guys

I am playing with the thought of buying a D-Command, preferably the ES model.

how much would be a reasonable budget ? cause i have been told between £1.500-£2.500 for a main section.

and if i wanted the 24 fader option, what would i be looking to spend, and most important, where do i find them? cause people seems to either trade them in or keep them.

thanks

I would scour ebay and the buy and sell section here on the forum.

A fair price for a Main Section ES would be about 2500-3000 USD and non ES about 1500-2000 USD.

For a D Command with fader pack I would say atleast 4000-5000 USD as these controllers are becoming rare to see for sale since the S-6 replacements are quite expensive so people want to keep their ICON units as long as possible.

I haven't seen the Main Unit ES cheaper than $5000 USD.

Even the original unit are still in the $2000-3000 range.....

Prices vary quite a bit on Ebay and I seen the ES from 3300 USD up to over 6000 USD but that doesn't mean they sold for that, one can easily take away atleast 1K from these prices.

I've been searching eBay for months, D-command's rarely come up for auction and when they do, never under 3900.

Reverb had them more often, but still seldomly, and rarely under 3800. Fader packs are close to non existent!

There is one main D-Command Blue unit here in Stockholm for sale right now at 14000kr = 1700-1800 USD which is what we have seen a few times now.

Good condition and works great.

Regarding Fader Packs I have no idea but as you said they are rarely for sale standalone.
