Default 'Old' Sync IO with PT HD Native 12

Hi
We have a PT HD Native with PT12 and sometimes we need to send out timecode over source connect.
We were wondering if anyone knows if the 'old' Sync IO (so not the HD version which is available used) would still work with PT HD Native 12.
We do not need the Sync IO for anything else than this.
(in case somebody is wondering; we use a separate laptop for the (stand alone) source connect connection, with it's own audio interface.

Thanks in advance,

Daniel

No. Will not work with 11+

Of course you can use it in standalone mode, but that's not really gonna help you with what I imagine you need to do

You'd either have to go down to Pro Tools 10 HD or you'd have to record LTC timecode track and import it into your Pro Tools 12 HD session. Route that audio out where you would have routed it from the Sync IO.

Ryan's right - is the cheapest route. We downloaded LTC from here:

http://elteesee.pehrhovey.net

WAV files of LTC are created based on your specs. Very impressive site!

Can't you also get a Mac to LTC converter? That way you wouldn't need to deal with a LTC file.

Hi everybody
thanks for all the reactions and the clear answer. (although not what we were hoping for...;-)
We currently use an LTC track in PT, but we're doing more and more ADR sessions so we were thinking that a generator would be more practical.
We looked at MOTU (like the micro express), they have interfaces that can generate LTC but we have no idea how reliable that is when used within PT.
Anybody has experience with this?

Otherwise we stick to an LTC track I guess...

Thanks again, Daniel
