Yeah, I know they want to roll all of the things, but at this point I'd be fine with whatever is working now today, and the release still-buggy improvements in a future update (in March?)

Actually to be honest I'd rather a stable release.

I am just crossing my fingers that alt-h and project reload losing random midi out connections is fixed.

There must be a reason it's delayed, and I am sure it's that they don't want to release it till it's as bug free as possible. :)

I kind of agree with this. But given the last couple of years history, it could be held up by:

1. Enduring bugs
2. New Features not yet de-bugged
3. Compatibility with new OS (Catalina)
4. Compatibility with new hardware (2019 Mac Pro)
5. Trying to get this extra voices on HDX cards

If it's 1 or 2, I totally agree the wait is justified. If it's 3-5, I'd prefer they slide out a release without those features and keep working on them for when they are ready.

But it's all speculation on our parts, right? and 1-2 might be cross-coded somehow with 3-5, creating a big co-dependent deck of cards.

But dangit, when I watch Andrew Scheps NAMM video, where he's talking about how he's BEEN working with Folder Tracks, and will "never again" work without them, it.... well, it just makes me want to cry a little. frosty tears...

Surely past tense, or a rumor. As always, those who know dont talk and those who talk dont know.

I can believe this, March is the end of subscription for a bunch of people, me included. I'm not renewing this year after not getting any value in vanilla for the last year. Avid will probably try to lure us with the track folders and that, in the very remote case vanilla gets track folders...
