Default Assigning Axiom Drum Pads to Redrum...!

Greetings,
What i'm trying to do is assign the drum pads on my Axiom 49 to trigger Redrum rewired into PT 7.4. The default output channel for all the drum pads is 10, and it's somehow already mapped to Redrum, only it will trigger random parts in Redrum like the mute buttons, solo buttons, volume and pan and what have you, not the actual sounds i load into themselves. What i normally do is create a MIDI track, set it input to Axiom channel 1 and its output to Redrum, and i'll just play my drum parts with the keys. If anyone is familiar with this set-up they know that each key on the Axiom is already assigned to its own channel on Redrum. Meaning the very first key on the far left of the keyboard is automatically set to Redrum's channel 1, the next key automatically set to channel 2, following key to 3 and so on. And this is the same no matter how many new MIDI tracks i create in PT, and with all there inputs set to receive from Axiom channel 1.

So as previously stated, i'd like to get my pads set-up the same way the keys are so i can play my drum parts with the pads instead of the keys. After all, that's what they're there for right?

Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks.

BTW... I'm running PT 7.4 w/ Reason 3.0.5 on a Mac.

The Axiom's default presets for Reason (7-12) have the pads mapped to ReDrum. If you want to set up the pads to your liking, ReDrum responds to MIDI notes 36-45; Preset 9 is mapped to 36-43.

You can program the MIDI notes for the pads by:
1. Press the pad you want to change
2. Press the Data 1 button on the Axiom (the LCD should show a flashing MIDI note)
3. Type in the # of the desired MIDI note (you can also use the +/- buttons to scroll up or down, and you can press the pad while programming to audition)
When the flashing music note disappears, the new setting has been made.
Repeat.

When finished, don't forget to store these changes to a preset.
1. Press the Store Key
2. Type in the # of the preset (1-20) to store it to
When the display stops flashing and returns to normal, the preset has been stored.

Cool. Also check out the Enigma Group on Yahoo, it's a great resource for M-Audio keyboards.
