MacBook Pro 2.53 Ghz, Intel Core 2 Duo
4gb 1067 Mhz DDR3
OS 10.9.2

Protools Mbox 2
Protools 11.1.2

I've installed the latest driver (10.3.3) and manually deleted the files requested.

Still, no audio output. I see the Mbox2 as an option in just about everywhere: IO Setup; Hardware; Playback Engine; System Prefs;

I am having the same issue. After downloading all new drivers and updating Mavericks my Mbox2 and my Mbox Mini both WILL play audio through Quicktime, but NOT through iTunes or Pro-Tools. This is a software issue that Avid needs to address.

MacBook Pro (2011)
OS X 10.9.2
2.53GHz
8GB RAM
Mbox 2
Mbox Mini
Pro Tools LE 10

There hasn't been a proper fix yet, but a workaround that seems to work for some is using a cheap USB hub.

Unfortunately, if there's not a proper fix soon Avid will be losing another customer. It's ridiculous that this has been going on for six months for some people.

Late 2013 iMac
Mavericks 10.9.2 (shipped with it)
PT 11.1.2
Mbox Mini (3)
Mbox Driver 1.2

Problem:
pt will not open or initiate a new session whilst the playback engine is selected to Mbox Mini

PT opens any file if the playback engine is built in audio, then you switch the playback engine to Mbox Mini and the session works fine through the Mbox Mini

All other audio applications work fine with the Mbox Mini

Bigger problem is that I have 26 computers with this setup and 300 students in this facility and we are 7 weeks into term and there is still no fix being discussed on the horizon..... very close to putting Mbox Mini's in the bin.

Identical workstation works 100% with Mbox 2 or Mbox 3 (non mini)

Is there a PT update or Mbox Mini driver being worked on that addresses this issue?

Fix for what? There is probably several different things going on for folks in this thread.

Avid is not going to fix the known USB/core 2 CPU/Maverics problem with Avid drivers as has been discussed in other threads on DUC. The suggestion there is to try a USB hub.

At this point Avid consumer Audio interfaces are amongst the last I would recommend to a purchaser.
