Default Audio import sample rate conversion

We have 24 eps. of 30 min on backup tapes in sdII format running at 44.1 and want to transfer to 48 for re use in new programs.
Audio import shows on the screen a button "convert" but after selecting a file it turns in to "copy" so the file will be imported at wrong speed. We found a way by importing the track with the wrong speed into the same job with a track import and then it's posible to SRC the track content.
Is this the way to do this ?????
