Looking deeper at the needs of Post Production world, I have posed a question on the support page of the website over how the frame error is currently displayed and would welcome any feedback.
If you haven't already, you should tell Pro Tools Expert about this

They got in touch just before christmas asking for a review unit and I sent them one. I'll give them a nudge to see where it has got to.

I've added countries as required, as some of the shipping rates to some countries get silly.
Anyway, I've added Israel to the shopping cart.

Someone else already mentioned CatchinSync http://quietart.co.nz/catchinsync/ and it works GREAT!! iPhone APP is $20 (I think) and on an iPhone 6 captures the video at 240fps, so you can get down to 1/8 frame accuracy.

Worth looking at!!

I spoke to Richard about 6 months ago when I was looking for studio space. He was up to his eyeballs with work with 45 hours of original programming scheduled to be edited and mixed.

Glad he is doing well, hoping my syncheck lasts forever.

Do you plan to have video files in various formats to calibrate post production audio? Ie Flash and pop. Could the video originally provided by Syncheck be used? Makes live really easy..

Yes, you could use any suitable Flash Pop file, I am sure the Syncheck files would work OK. Detection is based on a black to white transition with a 1Hz - 3Hz tone being the ideal. Previously, for post production, people already have had suitable test files to hand. I generated a 1080p/24 file for use elsewhere, which is on the website.

Test files specifically for post production are not currently in the pipeline but if there is a demand I could look at getting the appropriate toolsets to generate them for the most common formats, or look to get some generated. What formats would you like to see?
