Default Pro Tools 10.1 HDX Machine Control problem

Hello,
I have a problem of synchronization between Pro Tools and an external video player using a RS-422 link between Sync HD (9-pin) and a PC.
There's a converter Colin Broad P2MMC2 converting the RS-422 to USB (PC). I'm using of course Machine Control (PT simulating a BVW-75) and serial Timecode with a Video Ref synchronizing both.
The system is working fine for a while but without any reason, there is a loss of syncro with the message : "communication loss with serial device".
I have the same problem in 2 studios with the same configuration.

Any idea ?
Thanks

ProTools 10.1 HDX
HD OMNI, Sync HD
Mac OS 10.7.3
Mac Intel Quad-Core Westmere 2*2,4 GB, 12GB DDR3
