It's about time to Digi make a plug-in version of C|24 then! Virtual C|24 saves space etc. yeah...

hi!

yes, I have the C24, sure. ,)
BUT: I want to programm an extra shortcut set for my needs
since I finde Digi Shortcuts (and Avid shortcuts btw) rather "senseless"
and being able to take an "xkey" (or similar) to another Protools studio is tempting ...

thanks,
,m

I now use a D-Command, but before that, I used X-Keys with IKey to simulate a mouse click over the suspend button in the automation window since all my templates have it it the same place.

Worked like a charm!!! I might have a spare X-Keys Desktop model I might be willing to part with... switched over to the X-Keys Stick with the new D-Command, and it is brilliant!!

hi!

:) that´s a breeze here in the alps while over 40°s outside!!
Thanks a lot!

Fine, I already tried ikey software before.
How did you fix the "automation window" so that it is always
at the same place to have the right "mouse over"?
And how to program shortcuts?
Progamm a script?

thanks again!

I just have it appear in the same place with all my saved templates... in my case the lower left corner on my left monitor. Just open the Automation window, drag it to the desired location on screen, and save/close.... it will show up the same place from now on if you don't physically relocate the window.

In Ikeys for Xkeys, you can assign any button on the Xkeys to trigger any action you created in Ikey (in this case have the cursor go to specific location on screen and the mouse click... the cursor just snaps to the desired location, you don't see it physically move from whatever the current location is)... instant dedicated "Auto Suspend" key, but you could do the same with any of the "buttons" on the Automation Enable window.

I also use the same method when opening my Track Arm window for Digibeta layback... 4 dedicated arming buttons on my Xkeys Stick right above my Soft Keys Section on the D-Command. What ever I can do without a keyboard and mouse the better.

up, one more:

is it possible to use these "action strings" in ikeys when the automation window would be in the background?

is it possible to program "routines", e.g.: when autosuspend is
pressed then switch "fader automation" to "off" ?
hahah i would have done this in GW basic hahahah :)
