Default Pro tools & BFD issues....

Hey, so I have a Roland V-stage drum kit, and recently I tried to go midi out on it into pro tools, and then have the midi track trigger BFD on a track which is printing the audio... I'm having big pop and click issues to where it seems that BFD cant keep up with the playing of the V-drums. Anyone know whats up with that? Should I record the midi track first and then try printing it after ive recorded that so its not straining my system as hard? if the buffer rate is set too high there is latency of course, and thats no good when playing drums, especially if you are playing quicker stuff. i just havent had the chance to try it yet another way. let me know if yallz have any idears. PEACE.

Hi,

Just check you haven't got ADC turned on! it has to be turned off for live playing!!

I have a Roland V-drums kit and play BFD, there is a slight delay when playing, so i tend to use the V-drums module for monitoring when playing and just record the midi data. This isn't ideal, but works a lot tighter for certain styles of playing! i can play the BFD ok though, it works fine for most playing.
