External SATA Drives with card
I'm sure this has been covered before - I've been looking at the new Lacie external SATA drives, which comes with a pci card to connect them. Is this a good idea, is the card compatible with HD, does it offer any worthwhile speed advantages?
Thanks! Joel |

Re: External SATA Drives with card
I would like to hear an official statement from Digi, too.
I have a LaCie 74 GB 10.000 RPM external SATA with my LE, and it works flawless. Since I will upgrade to HD in a few month, my dealer told me, there might occur problems with the disk, since there is so much PCI traffic with the HD system. But I know nothing for shure, I´m afraid. Hope this helps a little.... Andi PS: Is there anyone out there with a HD 2 and a LaCie SATA d2????????
