poly wav files and PT 9

A potential client has informed me he will be sending me files in poly wave format. To be honest, this is the first time I've heard of this file format (haven't recorded outside clients for a while). I Googled it so now at least I know what it is. But my question is can I import these files into Pro Tools 9, and if so, will it split out the tracks? Thanks.
