Stereo editing
Hi.This is pretty basic but I can't figure it out. Using 2 tracks to record in stereo. Now I'm trying to edit the head for a clean start but can't figure out any way to lock the 2 tracks togethor. It seems I must edit each track seperately. Is their a way to clean this togethor to save time and assure both tracks line up.
Thanks |

Re: Stereo editing
Hi DAWghouse,
You need to use Track Groups. First, select the two tracks you'd like to group together. Click on the first tracks name in the edit or mix windows, then shift-click on the second track's name. Both track names should now be highlighted. Next, use the "Group Selected Tracks..." option in the file menu. While this new track group is active, all editing on one track will also happen on the other track. Be sure to download the documentation for Pro Tools FREE 5.0.1 and checkout the "Groups" section. Re: Stereo editing
Ah. The old RTFM. I actually read the section on editing but never thought of groups. Thanks for the quick response Kenn.
