Default Hardware does not have sync

Hello.
I am running the latest build of PT HD native 2018.12.0
I am getting 'Hardware does not have sync' errors when I load any new session.
Clock source keeps resetting to Word Clock (48.1).
I have to manually set the clock source back to Omni internal at the start of every session.
Running High Sierra
My setup is as follows

Omni loop out ----> HD I/O loop in
HD I/O loop out ----> Omni loop in

I have tried trashing prefs etc but have had no luck.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Don't have a fix as it could be to do with Hi Sierra, but can't you start each new session from a template with clock set to internal.

Chris
Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately, every session that I open, regardless of where it was previously set reverts back to Word Clock

This is odd, for sure and needs some troubleshooting. Here is how I would proceed:
1-disconnect the HD IO and test with only the OMNI
2-Assuming OMNI works correctly, disconnect it and try just the HD IO
3-if both work correct alone, reconnect and verify solid connections(I lost sync once and traced it to a loose BNC cable). It may also be worth disconnecting and reconnecting all the digilink connections(with everything powered off)

4-if things are still whacky, try changing the digilink connections. IOW, if the HD IO is chained off the OMNI Expansion port, try going directly to the HDX/HDN card port or vice versa.
