C24 cable setup with two 96I/Os
I'm new to the ProTools World. I just picked up a C24 HD2 ProTools bundle. I also added an additional 96 I/O. I am looking for a diagram of the specific cable routing for this new system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Avacado1 |

I'd run a cable from C24 Mic Pre's 1-8 via a patchbay to your 1st 96 inputs. Another cable from C24 Mic Pre's 9-16 via a patchpay to your 2nd 96 inputs. Then a cable from 1st 96 outputs 1-8 via a patchbay with outputs 1 and 2 (1 to 6 if you're doing 5.1 surround stuff) connected to the C24 por tools inputs. That way if you have any special mic pre's you can patch them into your 96 inputs and also any external processing can be patched into the extra outs. You can do all this on a single 48 way patchbay, but make sure its a balanced one and don't skimp on the price/quality. Get a Neutrik or something similar. Hope this helps Lizardpoint |
