Default couple of quick questions!

Hi,

I've a couple of things bugging me in Pro Tools 11.0.3 on mac.

1. Occasionally, when I add a plugin, all audio gets a horrible digital crushed sound to it. When I change the bugger size (up or down, doesn't matter), the sound goes away. It doesn't seem to be an overload issue, just an odd bug.

2. I'm using a wireless keyboard and a magic trackpad, since I installed them I can't seem to use the "change grid amount" shortcut (cmd alt & - or +). this is something I use constantly so it's really annoying me. the manual says that the shortcut is only possible with wired keyboards but does anyone have a workaround?

thanks
Steve

1. Do you have Ignore errors during playback/record checked in the Playback engine? I had to uncheck it for that issue to disappear.

2. Works fine here, but I use a wired keyboard. The shortcut for the grid value is Ctrl+Alt+plus/minus. Cmd+Alt+plus/minus changes the nudge value.

thanks a million! That seemed to work for the first problem.

Much appreciated. Now if I could figure out the lack of a shortcut thing I'll be pleased :)

Since you are on a MAC have you tried adding that keyboard shortcut in your keyboard manager (system preferences>keyboard)... add that shortcut for Pro Tools and see if it works, if not make your own and tell it to control the "Change Grid Amount"
