Presonus Firestudio & PT9 96k
Hi folks. I'm trying out a Presonus Firestudio with PT9 (the HD upgrade), and it seems pretty slick so far.
I saved off a copy of a 48k 24-bit session as 96k, and opened it up. Session setup says 96k 24-bit, and everything plays fine. However, I keep getting a popup dialog that says "The current playback engine does not support a sample rate of 96k". I see no other Presonus Playback engine available to choose, and in Audio/MIDI setup, the SR is set to 96k. Do I need to save a separate 96k Audio/MIDI setup file so that PT won't complain? Something is amiss here because clearly the session & audio are are 96k, PT Session Setup confirms this, and everything is playing just fine. It's just that incessant warning that's getting in the way. Thanks for any insights! |

Re: Presonus Firestudio & PT9 96k
I think I found it. As long as the SR & Bit depth in Audio/MIDI setup are set to correctly match the session being opened, PT doesn't complain. PT appears to not like being the one to try to change the settings in Audio/MIDI setup.
I'm not sure if PT needs to be quit while changing the settings in Audio/MIDI setup, but that's the way I tested it & found it to work better so far. |
