PNG appears instead of button graphics after 9.05 update

Has anyone else seen this? I couldn't find it with a search, so maybe I'm the only one.

After I installed the 9.05 update (I updated from 9.01), I see "PNG" written in red over about half of the buttons on the protools GUI. Everything works, but it appears I am missing a lot of the button pixmaps. I am running OSX 10.6.8 on a MacPro 8 core.
