transferring projects to and from PT and cubase
Hi, does anybody have any tips, or a guide to transferring sessions o and from pro tools.
Even links that would redirect me to elsewhere either on the forum or the net would be appreciated. Many thanks. |

Re: transferring projects to and from PT and cubase
1. Use WAV audio files for maximum compatibility.
2. Consolidate tracks into full project length files (starting at bar 1) to enable easy sync. 3. Export a MIDI file for use as a tempo map if there are tempo changes during the session. Whilst I've not used it myself, I understand that Digitranslator (paid upgrade) enables projects to be converted into OMF format. You'd need to check that Cubase can read this format to pursue this option. Solid State Logic have another conversion utility which appears to do much the same. http://www.solid-state-logic.com/music/Pro-Convert http://www.myspace.com/philogg |
