Default CoreAudio7.3 works above 96kHz? PT7.3 192kHz woes

I am having trouble with applications using CoreAudio at sample rates above 96kHz. They seem to recognize the 192s just fine up to 96kHz. Anything above that, they either just show 96kHz, revert to 44.1kHz, or fail to recognize the I/O. This is on an Intel Mac, 10.4.8, ProTools HD2 (CoreAudio) 7.3, 192 I/Os. Some of the applications that fail to recognize the 192 I/O over 96kHz. Digital Performer 5.11, Peak Pro 5.2, iTunes... there's more, I'll keep updating the list. The cards pass all DigiTest tests.

Any one else observing this behaviour?

Default Re: Can anyone confirm CoreAudio7.3 works above 96kHz?

Actually, a follow up question. Has anyone ran into problems running ProTools 7.3 at 192kHz? Have you ran into trouble changing the voice allocation at 192kHz say from 1 DSP to 2 or more DSPs on existing sessions? I've had some random quirks (noises, pops, etc.) with sessions that were saved with voices allocated spread over various DSPs. I found out that if I manage to save the session or a copy of the session with voices allocated to only 1DSP, these problems seem to dissappear.
