vocals w/ unplugged electric?
i like to sing while playing, i'm just more at home with it.
i rented a telefunken 251 (which sounds abso-freakin-lutely gorgeous on my voice) to do vocals this month at home. i'm wondering whether playing an unplugged strat while doing vocals will be a problem on the track. what do you guys think? PS: thanks rail, the 002R worked out beautifully for what i needed.

Re: vocals w/ unplugged electric?
That depends. A sensitive mic tends to capture details like one's breathing, any doors opening or closing in the house, refrigerators, powertools, passing cars, etc. The guitar sound will be there when you solo the vocal track, certainly. If your goal is to hear a close, detailed vocal, without guitars, drums or any other clutter or noises around it, then ixnay on the atstray. On the other hand, if you make a dense or noisy mix, it might hide the guitar. Might.
