Default How do I play patches in Subtractor in Reason?

How do I play the patches in Subtactor and NN19 in reason? I have a MIDI-compatible keyboard (Casio CTK-611) and a MIDI cable which I've hooked up to my sound card but when I click the MIDI In button next to the Subtractor track I don't hear anything when I play the keyboard. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Have you loaded a patch into the module?
Try loading one of the demo songs, they're already set up - then start fiddling with the patch selectors.

And RTFM.

you can always use the sequencer in Reason instead of using the controller. i dont know too much about using the controllers, but i know you do have to assign each patch in the top sequencer window in the rack.

First of all, make sure your controller is selected in the MIDI page of the Reason preferences menu. Once selected, a green checkmark should appear and you're good to go. Then make sure you're sending out data from the controller on the same midi channel you've selected in Reason, which is channel 1 by default.
