I get it. Still, iLok is by far my preferred choice of copy protection system. Software companies gotta try to protect their investments.

Teens are spoiled. Most of them have had everything for free during their childhood. When growing up it must be a shock for many of them that they have to PAY for something which is delivered electronically.

I see this a lot, where someone will complain about iLok only to accidentally reveal that they don't even pay for software in the first place. Or the surprisingly common "I just got Waves Mercury, how do I use a compressor?" kinds of questions that make it clear "got" is not a synonym for "bought."

No I was not thinking teens are spoiled, far from it, I do expect they have a high expectation of usability and ease of use of software and licensing etc. and more likely to use products that don't put unreasonable/buggy barriers in their way.

In a puremix video, Andrew Scheps is mixing Fly Rasta by Ziggy Marley OTB & he shows his board's fader automation system: it's running on Windows 2.1 with an AT/80286 CPU.

That's impressive, to me :)
