Default Glide Out Confusion PT 9HD

Been having some confusion over glide out. The glide IN works as expectedly but when I try to glide OUT it's writing the automation on the start point to the end of the session. I read in the manual that it thinks there's no breakpoint to the point I want to write to so it just writes it towards the end of the session. But I see lots of automation breakpoints? In fact, I wrote automation to all my plugins and volume at the glide out point but it still thinks there's no breakpoint there?. Anyway, totally confused. Protools 9HD.

Default Re: Glide Out Confusion PT 9HD

I believe, the automation from glide-to-all always extends to the next breakpoint of its OWN kind,
e.g. a L-to-R pan glide automation is "stopped" only by another pan automation breakpoint later on, and not by e.g. a volume breakpoint.
It is usefull for me to do first a "safety" automation with write-to-all directly behind (later) the clip, where I want to do a glide-to-all.
That guaranties breakpoints who will stop the writing of the end status of a glide-to-all automation to the end of the session.
On the other hand, I am on PT10/11HD and it may totally not apply to PT9.
