Default XP upgrade - PT OK, TRacks and Sound Forge NOT

I migrated Windows 98 to Windows XP. I loaded PTLE for XP Version 6.1 . Previoulsly I was using PTLE 5.3 on Windows 98. PTLE works great. Windows Media Player works great. The problem is that neither TRacks 24 nor Sound Forge work...the files load, but do not play.

I downloaded and installed the new DIGI Windows driver and this did not help. I downloaded the upgrade package for TRacks...did not help. All this leads me to believe there is a setting in Windows XP causing the problem.

Any suggestions or experience with this situation?

Help please...

Thanks,

Jaleo

I'm assuming you install just the wave driver and not the ASIO driver. Try installing the ASIO driver and see what happens...

Sound Forge works output only with the Wavedriver in PT's 6x..You will have to download the MME helper HERE and install it.
Are you speaking of T-Racks standalone?I'm not sure whether that uses the ASIO or the Wavedriver so install them both.
You do know that you have to set your preferences in your 3rd party apps.I'm sure you do but just in case I'll remind you.
If you can't get them to work let us know,I'm sure we can fix you up

Does this MME download work with ProTools ver 6.4 as well? Thanks in advance.
