do I need to format my external drive??
I bought a Western Digital 500gb "My book studio Edition" external harddrive about 6 months ago. At the time I was running Mac OS 10.5.8 leopard. Now Iv'e purchased a new MacBookPro running "Snow Leopard OS 10.6.1. Is anyone familiar with this drive. Will I have to re-format it for the new OS. I never had a chance to use it even with my older computer. If I need to re=format, where do I go to find out how?? Any help would be apprieciated. thanks

it should already be HFS formatted but if it is FAT32 then u will need to formatted... Search around here; plenty of info & honestly its better to search Google & let it lead u here; the forum search engine reeks of suck'age...
