Migrating LE6 (pts) to LE 7 (ptf)
I just upgraded my system from LE6 to LE 7
and have a lot of material that I am transfering over. What issues can I expect from the old .PTS files that I will be opening in LE 7? I'm aware that the plug-ins may not be there, but are there other things that don't translate well going 6 to 7? Also, if I wanted to use the .PTF files created in LE 7, how would I open it in LE 6? |

Re: Migrating LE6 (pts) to LE 7 (ptf)
I regularily open files from PT 5.1 from my brother in PT 7.3 with no problems whatsoever. I suspect going from v.6 to v.7 would be just as smooth. I've been extremely pleased how well PT handles opening old files.
I fyou are goin backwards from version 7 to an earlier version you have to use the menu item "Sav File In..." and choose "5.1 to 6.9". I've never done that, so I can't say how well it works or not. But I suspect once you start using version 7 you won't want to go back unless you need to in order to send a session to someone with an older version of PT. |
