Default P.T. 11.3.1 & audio interfaces

Good morning, I've had the Project Mix I/O DAW for quite some time now, and if I want to upgrade to P.T.12, it looks like I may need to retire the PrMix. I like having the faders & control the Project Mix has given me over the years & was wondering if folks here might have some suggestions that won't break the bank in regards to replacements. Thanks,RichrdC

Any interface with an Artist Mix and a Presonus Faderport on your desk. That gives you faders, transport control, quick-punch(with an added footswitch) and a few other goodies(but this covers most of what you would miss from the old PM)

Is an 003 Controller worth looking at?

And don,t disregard the newer Behringer X Series either. They are like 400-500 Usd and well worth a try if you need or want 8 faders and some other doodles .

Behringer is much MUCH better quality nowadays and I tested the new units at a messe here and actually liked them for what they cost

Sometimes I really am computer dumb. That being said, I've been looking at the Behringer XR12 , and they're saying it's for iPad or Android touchpad users. So my dumb question is, does that mean it wouldn't work using it with a basic Laptop. A Windows laptop? Thanks so much for the help

Since the 003 is still functional(though unsupported), if you can find a great deal, it works very well as a controller. The single most annoying flaw is when you want to flip faders to sends; the scribble strips display the send, and not the track.

Hello RichrdC!

I just thinking about to get a used Project Mix IO to have faders on my Maudio 1814 (Project Mix IO has the same audio interface as 1814 in it). Why "it looks like" Promix is not supported in PT12. Needs PT12 a Win8 or newer OS? Or you have a Mac? My Mac Book Pro runs 10.7.5 (Leon) whit a second 1814 and I think it is the last OS for 1814/ProjectMix, but PT12 starts with "Mac OS X 10.8.5 (only supported below Pro Tools 12.5)"

Avid says:
PT12 - Minimum System Requirements:
