That makes more sense.

Jeff
When you say that this is currently possible, do you mean that this functionality from the AX32 will be carry on existing on the MTRX?

Thanks,

Antonis

One thing I am interested in is whether it is possible to use the AES digital outs for monitoring purposes and use the monitoring functions to control the level on a digital output? I have a stereo pair of barefoot MM27's which have a digital AES input - so doing this would save an AD/DA stage in my monitoring chain, but I would need to be able to control the volume from the monitor section on the S6.

Will this be possible?

Thanks!

Greetings,

New options, connectivity, workflows and hardware specifications have now been added to the Pro Tools | MTRX PDF document based on your feedback. You can find it here:

Did avid take the madi and Dante io out from the base model and make them an option?

Dante is definitely out. The do say that MADI hasn't made it too, but I've seen some early quotes that they seem to be included. I would be very surprised if the "Base" model does not include the I/O as seen on the basic HD I/O.

Greetings,

DANTE has always been an option that can be added to AX32.

Here's what is included on the basic Pro Tools | MTRX unit:

Dual Power Supplies
Pro | Mon Monitor Control
16 Channels of AES/EBU
64 Channels of Coaxial MADI
Dual 32-Channel DigiLink Ports (64 Channels total)
Word Clock & AES11 Sync Inputs

best,

Jeff
