This is how this whole sorry saga appears to me:

“Give us your money, in advance, for a product that isn’t ready yet ....
As it’s taken us more than a year to get it right, give us more money, if you want what you already paid for, when we finally fix it”!

I feel Avid owes each and every one of us (who has already paid for Pro Tools 12) a free version – when the Noise Blasts issue is fixed.

Oh – and keep the bug fixes free, like you originally posted.

i don't appreciate paying my next payment in order to get that stuff sorted- feels quite a bit like a shakedown.

You know, I've been thinking. And I think I have the solution...

Adobe should acquire Avid.

Sound impossible? Here's the full list.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._Adobe_Systems

Anyone like this idea?

No. Adobe is probably the worst choice to buy up Protools. Harman would be a much better choice.

Impressive list!

Not sure how Adobe’s Subscription-only idea sits with those who just want a Perpetual license that works properly …

Today and for the foreseeable future - AVID is our overlord on Pro Tools... So many real issues like 5 posts above... might as well stick to whining about them

Back On Topic (in a nutshell):

I feel Avid owes each and every one of us (who has already paid for Pro Tools 12) a free version (whatever its number) – when the Noise Blasts issue is fixed.

Please keep the bug fixes free, like originally offered.

The obvious answer is that if Pro Tools were to go subscription only today, I would roll back to 12.4 or 11.3.2 and stay there, never to spend another penny with them. Let's hope that doesn't happen.
