Default will essentials work on my system?

hi all

im thinking of getting the M-audio Fast Track usb audio interface so i can use my laptop for mobile recording (guitars, instruments, vocals etc), but i'm not certain whether the bundles pro tools essential will work on my laptop, so i thought i'd ask here.

I'm using Vista Home Premium, below is the summary of my hardware from sandra.

Any info & advice you have is much appreciated

From a hardware standpoint I think you should be good, The big thing is the chipset and your chipset it is old school enough I doubt that it will be a problem. The Big IF would be that your HDD drive appears to be formatted in FAT32 and I beleive that you need NTFS. I'm not sure if PT will even install to a FAT32 drive-As of 7.4 it certainly wants to record/play from NTFS volumes. MS has a utility to convert FAT32 to NTFS but its a one way trip.

ok, i've checked and my hdd is NTFS - i cant see any partition that is fat32 so im not sure where that entry in my hardware summary is coming from.

The qualifications for M-powered Essentials are much different from PT LE. Even Vista 64 bit is qualified.

I do have vista home and some of the plugins and drivers are not working for the Pro Tools LE
