Whistling plugin

Hey guys, I'm looking to put whistling into a song and I am trying to avoid recording myself. Does anyone know of a virtual instrument I could use? I'm running pt10 so aax or rtas will do.

You should try and do it for real. It will add a lot of freshness to the track.

Talking of which, you could use the EMU Proteus FX patch "Wissler" which was used in the X-Files theme song.

Nexus2 also has a whistle preset called VO The Whistlers under the category XP Room Extensions.
But I don't think it sounds very realistic if that is what you are looking for ?

Sounds more like the x-files whistle.

Exactly. Think of "Scorpions: Wind of Change", and what that song would be without real whistle.

That's a good example.

Seems like whistling is in the wind again so to speak. Several songs recently in the billboard chart features the whistle.
Examples are Britney Spears I Wanna Go, Maroon5 Moves Like Jagger, Bruno Mars Lazy Song, Flo-rida - whistle just to name a few.

But they all sound like real whistling to my ears and not like a VI.
