U do wanna use SPDIF with that unit but however u will still get a wee bit of noise; & I must point out that the TwinQ is not a 1000 preamp; its a unit with 2 preamps, 2 comps, 2 eq & 2 DI's with SPDIF for less than a $1,000 so with that said, its a pretty cheap box but not a bad box...

U can/could use 5-8 on the rack(XLR to TRS) from the JM but to truly get all of the JM, SPDIF is the safest way to get 100% of it plus the fact its giving u 2 more channels so u could use it as inserts or som'n (although u can still do it the other way too but) jus sayin... & basically if ur not satified with the results, then either way it goes, it'll pretty much be equal so u just have to get used to the box... & too, I would grab a good tube for the K2 vs just using the stock tube; a nicse difference u will hear...

Thinking about other users who may try tha SPDIF on Joemeek Twin: forget it.
It's functional, (like the great users explain ), but you'll get extra noise. Double comparing with xlr outputs.
I should mention that I use a 50$ cable, so that is not the case.
Verdict: if you need extra track= maybe
if you are ising it for your voice or something= forget it.
