Sorry to rain on your parade; My understanding is that SCSI drives are better than the SATA solution because of the way the files are cached,(giving you a higher track count). The SATA / firewire /USB drive (removable or internal) solutions are limited by their track count. I was told that if you RAID a series of drives that it is seen as only 1 drive therefore your trackcount will be limited to the spec of one drive. (Which is why Raiding isn`t supported). I know Digi tend to overspec to cover their arse but if anybody is getting a high track count (up to 100 tracks)please shout out. Tell me if you find out any different Bill |
