Pauses while playing 1st time only

I have and use both Keyscape and Trillium with PT12.6 and 7. Very often when I load a session and then start to play it, it will begin playing properly. Then after a few seconds all the MIDI tracks will drop out,but the audio tracks will continue playing. After around 1 minute or so, the MIDI will come back on, but in the wrong spot. Pressing stop and play will return things to normal.

My guess is that it's got something to do with the VI's loading. Does anyone else see this? It still happens if I wait a while before I press play, so I doing think I can force the load. These aren't huge sessions mind you. 30-40 tracks usually and 3-5 minutes long. I have a fast machine with lots of RAM and fast TB hard drives as well, so that shouldn't be an issue either...

How many instances of Trillian and Keyscape are you using? Spectrasonics stuff, at least for me, tends to be heavy on cpu & disk usage. Great sounds but resource hogs. I've noticed that patch changes can take a while in Omnisphere which is the same engine as the two you have.

I also see by your sig file you're running ElCrapitan and that OSX version has never been a good performer for any kind of audio work. Any chance you can go up or down an OSX level?

Only 1 instance of each.

I don't do any patch changes.

Really wondering if other Keyscape and Trillium users experience this.

Open Keyscape and see how long it takes to fully load your sounds. I would simply wait for it to finish(and yes, it is slooooooow)
