Pro Tools Authorization Code

I've had the MBox2 for years. My computer dropped dead, and I'm trying to load 6.8.1 into my new computer. I have a Mac Panther 10.3.9 operating system. It's the same system as my first computer. I have all the paperwork from my MBox. I have the card with the serial number and registration number. But, nowhere do I see an authorization code. I did not get a "getting started" book, I got a Basics Guide and it does not have an authorization listed.

I've tried putting in a case with Avid, through their M Box customer service, but that seems to be impossible.

Does anyone have any idea how to get the code?

Try to log onto your Myavid account(formerly your mydigi account) and see if you have that software registered. Next option would be to buy the software used from someone that has moved on. 3rd option would be to upgrade your OS to 10.5.8 and buy the PT8 package(version 8 adds a ton of features that make the purchase well worth the $149). Next time around, do what I do and write down the authorization codes in a few places(like on the disk sleeve for one).

THANK YOU. They did have the code, or at least something that's associated with my account. The REALLY WEIRD thing is, Pro Tools opened up without it.

I don't know what happened, I certainly didn't have the code. But, I went to try the one from avid out, and I didn't need it.

I don't know if this has something to do with it. But, last night (late this morning) I turned off the computer with MBox Factory 2 stuck in the USB port. It was still there when I turned the machine on. Maybe that had something to do with it. Because I really don't remember ever getting an Authorization Code for this.
