Default Pro Tools LE... Authorization code?
Hey guys,

I currently have a new macbook pro with the 003 rack factory and pro tools LE... Now I realized that 7.3 was not supported on the new os... At all! So I saw that you could update to 7.4.2 for free because of this. I got it all installed and such and now it's asking for some authorization code? It says where to find it but my rack didn't come with a getting started manual whatsoever... Where do I find this authorization code? Is it on the actual pro tools install dvd somewhere?

Wow, this is bull crap my authorization code is apparently "invalid" whatever the hell that means. I registered my equipment a few months ago and just got a new computer and already switched over all of my software over to it... So what now I'm suppose to spend another 100 some-odd bucks when I've spent almost 2,000 on my setup and it hasn't even been a year since I got it!!! WTF?! Sure would be nice if digi would show their customers some more respect.

Bull crap aside... If you registered your 003, go to you "My Digi" and they'll let you download the 7.4 update (which is a paid update). You authorization code should be there as well. If you were able to upgrade to 7.4 for free, it'll be there. If you didn't purchase the 003 after a certain date, you'll have to pay for the upgrade.

Ok so I realized I hadn't registered my rack until now. So I registered, what do I do now to get 7.4.2 to work? Because i did all of that and when I enter the validation code it still says my entry is invalid.

Click on "Compatibility & Upgrades" at the top of the forum (also linked under Quick Links on the right side of the Support section, and also from the page where you downloaded 7.4.2).

Scroll down to:
Pro Tools LE for Mac OS X Compatibility & Upgrade Information

See "Recent Purchases" on that page for details.
And the Website Help link there and on the DUC header.

how do i get the code for pt 7.4 i just bought the oo3 rack and only pt 8.0 came with the code...Thanks
