Default HD4 on G4 MDD

I am currently running an HD3 on a G4 MDD and was thinking of upgrading into an HD4. With a G5 or MacPro I would have to get an expansion chassis, but since the G4 MDD has four open PCI slots, I was wondering if anyone has had success running an HD4 internally. Will the power supply blow up and take the cards with it? Or will this work? I can't seem to find anything on their compatibility pages regarding this.

Cheers!

i have numerous posts regarding using my G4 quicksilver..used it today

in my siggie you will see G5 i have one and am prepping to downgrade
but if i don't like it i'm going back to HD4

i'm currently scouting for a magman exp chassi

my dual 3 rd party 2.8 dual sonnet gets hot...

i have had kernals and crashes regularly

some days worse than others...did not have a crash today until i quit protools..it quit then...

go figure

one week i have a bunch of digital noise sounds on a loop drum track looping the same bar over and over

will i like my G5....?

will i be not able to open my HD4 sessions and scrable in disgust

the answers are right around the corner for me

i had buying this G5 fo $2200 and having my G4 act so wonderfully today

whelming and confusing

I have no trouble at all running HD Core > HD Accel > HD Process > HD Process in my G4 MDD Dual 1Gb. Been running that for a couple of years with no issues to speak of. Running 7.3.1 on OS 10.4.8, 1Gb RAM.
