Default once a day crash

For the past three days, we have experienced one crash a day. It use to be rock solid, and all of a sudden we are seeing a crash per day... It's PT 5 on a BW G3 400, with 24 fader Pro Control. Any thoughts out there? It happened at 4:30pm the first day... 3:30 pm the second and 2:30 the next...? Just a coincidence? I'll watcht the clock tomorrow.

Hi,

I just came over from posting in the Trouble-shooting conference, because I thought it had something to do with PT 5.0; But Now I read your post...I had three crashes yesterday, but did not watch the clock; You know, today, PT told me, that there was a corresponding problem with Procontrol; so I checked the ethernet-connection and so far there was no crash; let´s wait and see...

respect and best wishes for your projects without no further crashes,

Joe the Rastaman

Well Joe,

Today went without any crashes. I'll check the ethernet connection tomorrow but I don't suspect I'll find anything. Best of luck!

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with a G3 update I've seen posted. Don't know how to tell if my G3 has it... I might try it anyway.

After talking to my dealer, he suspects that the hard drive (internal 8 GB) could get too hot... I had one crash yesterday - i´ll keep watching it, too

best luck, Joe
