PC Firmware

I have been happily using Pro tools 4.3 and pro control until recently a client came by with a project done in 5.0. We authorized my harddrive and updated pro controls firmware (software requested it). However, upon going back to 4.3 error message states that Pro control "midi personality "MAINUNIT" is incompatible with this version of pro tools. How can I get back, is there a place to download firmware for 4.3.

All you need to replace the Procontrol personality file (located in the DAE folder's Controllers folder) with the personality from 4.3. You can find it on your installer CD. find the DAE folder on the CD and open the Controllers folder in there and copy the ProControl file into the Controllers folder on your system. Be sure to delete the 5.0 version. Then, launch PT and open the ProControl peripheral box, uncheck the ethernet box and rechcheck it. Then, redeclare your ProControl units and close the dialog window. You'll now get a dialog that says you need to download firmware etc. Check OK. That's it!
